I love that you love your thing
Tell me a bit about it
Yes, I can see how much effort you’ve put into your costume. It must have taken hours. I know you’ve avoided the obvious characters. The details are so well observed. Me? Well I’m just a bit lazy you see.
There’s so much fanfiction, and so much of it really well written. Some of it really, really good. Your taxonomy is amazing (is that the right word?). Millions of words of heart felt effort. I’ve read a bit but I just prefer the original works.
That convention — so much effort gone into organising it. The panels look really interesting. You’ve got some major guests too. What a coup to get that one who hardly ever comes to them. So much good stuff for sale too. Some really well made pieces. It’s just a bit too in-depth for me.
That forum reminds me of English Lit. Diving into a work doesn’t spoil it as much as I thought it would. Doesn’t spoil it at all I mean. It’s really interesting to analyse the characters’ motivations. For me though — not that I don’t think you shouldn’t be doing it you understand — for me, it’s a bit like school.
I wouldn’t have shipped those two. It certainly makes an interesting combination. I wonder how long it would last though. Well, you seem to have thought it through quite a lot. That’s another plausible combination too. I can’t just see much beyond the original story.
Zines are great aren’t they? Such a wide variety of subjects. Real labours of love. So much talented writing and drawing. All at your own expense, I know, of course you couldn’t charge. So many hours of work preparing, copying and collating. I’ll look at it later if that’s OK with you.
I’m just wary of getting a little bit obsessive, you know? I like all sorts of things. Good for you though.
